In My Shoes
What’s it like growing up transgender?

'In My Shoes' asks five transgender young people what it's like to be them - the awesome times, the challenges and how they've gotten through them.

Amazing news! The short film I was part of, “In My Shoes”, now has over 18,000 Youtube views, and has even attracted praise from transgender icons- activist and author Janet Mock and supermodel Andreja Pejic! I will be taking part in a TEDx event with Monique Schafter on the 25th October at the Powerhouse. “In My Shoes” has been screened in parliament, talked about on radio, played at Belfast’s first ever transgender arts festival, translated into French for a Swiss LGBTI film festival and commissioned for broadcast on ABC2. It will also be used by the NSW Police LGBTI Project Officer in police training programs, and is soon going to be screened in schools across Australia, New Zealand and the UK. I’m shaking with excitement at how far this video has come and I am so incredibly proud to have been part of an amazing experience.
